  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Administrative Development 'A Journal of HIPA, Shimla' ISSN: 2319-2976 is a double-blind bi-annual refereed journal invites quality research papers, review articles, commentaries and book reviews for the forthcoming issues of the Journal.


Scope of the Journal: The articles must address the issues relatingto Administrative Development, Public Service and Policy. Since thefocus of governance in recent times have divulged from administration tocitizen service delivery, the articles should also address citizenrequirements in policy and the effective ways of implementing it for greaterpublic welfare. Articles from different branches of knowledge are welcomedif they have any direct or indirect relation to the administrativedevelopment, public service and policy. Articles must have some relevance for generating some important policy implications.


Article type: Journal will comprise research articles,general articles or commentary on important issues and book reviews.The contributionsshould be original and scientifically written with citation of propersources/literature. Copyright infringement and plagiarism is discouragedwith some preliminary verification and authors will be held responsible for any violations.


Periodicity: (Half-Yearly). January-June and July-December. It will beavailable at the end of periodicity i.e., June and December.


Refereeing and Editing: This is a peer reviewed journal. Aftersubmission an article will be sent for review. To avoid any biases, theprocess of reviewing will keep the names of author and reviewersconfidential.

Pricing: Each issue is priced at Rs. 100 for the individuals and Rs. 200 fortheinstitutions/Libraries (postage and handling charges of Rs 50 perissue are extra). Authors will get two complimentary copies of the issue.For long term subscriptions, please send mail at our correspondenceaddress with details about subscription period, subscriber’s completecorrespondence address along with the Demand Draft of the requisiteamount for the number of issues during subscription period.

Footnotes and end notes should not be used. If necessary, a general 'Explanatory Note' can be given at the end of the article.
