The increasing energy demand of India poses a great challenge to the policy makers as they are committed to the goal of providing ener gy to all. India has to achieve the twin goals of equitable development along with mitigation of climate change issues. This paper underlines the role of technology in enabling the policy maker s to achieve comprehensive energy security while working towards sustainable development goals
