About the Journal

‘Where is the Life we have lost in living?

Where is the wisdom we have lost in knowledge?

Where is the knowledge we have lost in information?’                               -T.S Eliot

The  academic  forum  started  by   a   group  of  enthusiastic  prosthodontists   from Tamil Nadu, transformed  to  ‘The Indian Prosthodontic Society - Tamil Nadu & Puducherry branch,  due  to  the unstinted  efforts  of  the  founder  President,  Dr T V Padmanabhan  and founder  Secretary  cum treasurer, Dr V Rangarajan. The  state  branch  http://tnstb.ipsonline.in/Publications.aspx under  the  aegis  of  Indian  Prosthodontic  Society  conducts  Conferences,  Continuing  dental education, Community outreach services and  Student academic  programs, encouraging both academic and clinical excellence  to  reflect solidarity  and fellowship.

The adage  “Publish or Perish”  amongst  researchers,  emphasizes  the  importance   of providing scripted visibility towards  research.  Publishing  of  evidences,  and  availing  it  to  the wider users, is critical for the  progress  of  science. The  best appreciation for any research lies in its usefulness and practical application. The  official  publication of  the  society  was started as a newsletter has  now   been   upgraded  to   the  form  of  journal.  The  Journal  of  Clinical Prosthodontics  and Implantology (J-CPI)   the   official   publication   of  the Indian Prosthodontic Society - Tamil Nadu and  Puducherry  is  a open access peer-reviewed  biannual (Jan-June & Jul-Dec) online  journal.
